Introduction & Masterpost

Hello, I'm Almighty Hat. You may know me from such Dreamwidths as Hat Plays Sims and Hat Plays Dolls. If you're looking for Sims 2 downloads or doll collecting nonsense, try those links. This is where I post fanfiction.
I have no idea what to really put in this introduction beyond an apology-- I'm almost always writing something, but very frequently, I don't finish it (I'm very, very bad at endings), don't post it, or I'm writing in a shared AU set in a not-too-distant future made of so many crossovers we just call it Mashup. I won't be posting everything that I've ever written here, because some of it got heartily Jossed and some of it just isn't as good as I thought it was six years ago.
As a standard disclaimer, all characters, properties, and related indicia are property of their respective copyright holders. No copyright infringement is intended and no profit is made.
... That said, I'm not too proud to accept handouts or even bribes, so if you like what I do here and want to help me pay my bills or feed my cats or fix my teeth so I have more time and energy to write stuff, well:

I might be willing to do fic commissions, even, depending on spoons and muses.
As of May 2020, Disney set out a terms-of-use update, the pertinent details of which can be found here, the shortened short version of which is Disney has quietly decided to declare that any fanwork based on their media is now Disney's property and they are allowed to use it in any way they see fit, whether or not it is posted to a website Disney controls, so long as it is in a publicly accessible place. As such, most works of mine in Disney-owned fandoms will be sort of soft-removed from AO3 and placed under restricted access here on Dreamwidth until Disney's terms-of-service are amended to at minimum compensate fan creators for work appropriated by Disney for Disney's for-profit use. Restricted access means 'not publicly accessible.' (Which works are not restricted-access? So far just To Be Free-- because Disney hasn't wanted to acknwoledge the Aladdin animated series since they got Robin Wiliams back for King of Thieves, and because as the story is a canon-divergence retelling of the first movie, I don't think anything but a couple of minor headcanons could actually be of any use to Disney.)
Add me to your circle and let me know if you'd like to be added to my access list. I am more likely to grant access if your Dreamwidth looks like it belongs to a real person.
